Backward, Forward, Up, Down, and sometimes Sideways...but who cares!!!! Ultimately, I am moving toward HIM.

 

To those who those who have been following my post or for those who are just beginning… 

A lot of my writing is prompted by how God often uses a song, quote, or experience to draw me closer, so that he can continue to grow/mold me into the person he created me to be.  

In some cases, he will use both.   As I write, I also will try to refer back to the bible as this resource is the ultimate source of truth and guidance. 

 

I never considered the possibility of publicly sharing my faith with others. 

Often I  struggle with reading a passage of scripture and understanding what God is trying to communicate.   I am not one of those people who can read my bible and walk away knowing exactly what God is trying to communicate.

....I am backwards....

 

As an educator, I know you begin each lesson with a standard, then the objective, and then plan out how the lesson will be taught.   If I were to translate these steps into my writing, it would look like this.  

·      The standard would be the scripture, 

·      The objective would be what I want you to know or be able to do at the end of the post, 

·      The experience would be how the lesson would be taught. 

 

 

Well… here we go again with that quote I love. 

God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

 

When God speaks, 

for some he will begin with the scripture and then move from there

for others he will begin with an experience, quote, or song and then move from there

for others he will begin with 

(you fill in the blank because I am not going to limit how God speaks) 

and then move from there. 

 

What I want you to take away from this post is that… God will meet you where you are and move you from there.  

 

It might begin with a scripture… or it might begin with a quote, experience, or a song. 

 

Whether backward, forward, up, down, or sideways….

 

The important thing to remember is when it does begin…. keep moving toward him 

…and when the time is right, share your experience with others. 

 

People are desperately in need of authentic people to share about the love of God!

 

God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.  Look at him; give him your warmest smile.  Never hide your feelings from him.  When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.  God's angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we prayed. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see- how good God is.  Blessed are you who run to him.
